Surrounded by lush greenery, the Xixi National Wetland Park serves as an “oxygen bar” and a local wonderland for city residents. Situated west of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, the park covers a vast area and features numerous ponds, lakes, marshlands and diverse fauna and flora. Formed during the Liangzhu Culture period, the park still retains ancient buildings and relics that reflect the rich local history and culture of the area. It is also home to a rich cultural heritage spanning over 4,000 years, where southern Chinese opera and traditional dragon boat contests still thrive.
