Tianjin's Five Great Avenues alight at night

After years of renovation, the Minyuan 1920 block at the Five Great Avenues Scenic Spot in the coastal municipality of Tianjin has opened to the public. The historic block’s fences and walls have been removed, making it easier for tourists to explore the Western-style buildings, trendy shops, and former residences of Chinese and foreign dignitaries and celebrities. At night, neon lights illuminate the entire Five Great Avenues neighborhood, breathing new life into the century-old historic block.
