The Grass Skyline, also known as China’s Route 66, is a grassland highway famous for its amazing scenery and cool weather in north China’s Zhangjiakou. When summer arrives, it attracts tourists from all over China to take a road trip.
According to a press conference held by Zhangjiakou government officials on August 2, the Grass Skyline is expected to receive over 5 million tourists in the course of 2024 and generate total tourism revenue of over 3.5 billion yuan (about $49 million).
