Thousands of sunflowers are in full bloom in the flower field of the Civic Center in Futian District, Shenzhen, creating a dazzling golden sea spanning over 3,000 square meters, and adding a vibrant splash of color to the southern coastal city.
From soil preparation and sowing to fertilizing and maintenance, all the work in these fields has been managed by Shenzhen volunteers. The sunflowers will remain at their peak bloom from now until late May, offering residents and visitors the perfect opportunity for photography and leisure.
Nearby cultural and tourist landmarks, such as Lianhua Mountain, Shenzhen Museum, and Shenzhen Concert Hall, also provide great spots to enjoy summer activities.
