Ferguson, a product of the St. Kevin’s Boys and Bohemians academies, made his senior debut for the latter in the year 2019, before he was snapped up by Brighton in the year 2021. Ferguson played a crucial role in the Seagull’s showings in the last two years as he made over fifty appearances for the club.
Brighton head coach Fabian Hurzeler wished the Irish forward the very best and backed the youngster to regain his best touch during his loan spell at Roman.
“Evan had a challenging period across the past season and a half, and it has been one disrupted by niggling injury issues, which hasn’t allowed him a run of games,” Hurzeler said.
“He is over those injuries and has come back in great shape. Now he really wants to play regularly. This is an exciting opportunity in a strong league and with the prospect of European football,” he added.
