The new Suzhou Archaeological Museum opened to the public on May 17, showcasing archaeological findings from the city of Suzhou in Jiangsu and the surrounding areas. The museum features an array of exhibitions, educational classes, and interactive activities. After extensive restoration work, a vast tomb from the Three Kingdoms Period (220-280) formed the centerpiece of the collection, which grabbed the spotlight with visitors. The museum’s collection mainly consists of artifacts unearthed at sites in and around Suzhou, including Paleolithic discoveries from Sanshan Island and other locations across the city.
