The fourth-gen Maruti Dzire has been spotted testing on Indian roads many times ahead of its launch. It will come equipped with a sunroof and a 360-degree camera as seen in the spy shots
After introducing the new-gen Swift, Maruti Suzuki is gearing up for its next big launch, which is the 2024 Dzire. Slated to launch in the second half of 2024, the sub-4-metre sedan was recently spotted testing on Indian roads, unveiling new styling updates.
Recent spy shots suggest that the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire gets a revised grille pattern, sleeker-looking headlamps, repositioned fog lamps and a new bumper at the front. The sedan will likely sport newly-designed alloy wheels. Furthermore, the Dzire 2024 will also get larger boot space.
In terms of features, the new-gen Maruti Dzire will be more feature-rich than the new Swift. As seen in the latest spy pictures, the fourth-gen Maruti Dzire will get a single-pane sunroof and a 360-degree surround camera. The 2024 Dzire will become the first sub-4-metre sedan to have these features in the Indian market.
Inside the cabin, the new Dzire will likely come equipped with a big 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charger, and connected car technology, among other features. Additionally, it is expected to get a new cabin layout along with a new colour scheme.
Under the hood, the 2024 Maruti Dzire will likely be propelled by a new 1.2-litre Z-Series NA petrol engine. It will be paired to a 5-speed manual transmission and an AMT gearbox. The company might offer a CNG kit on select variants of the upcoming Dzire.
For enhanced safety, the 2024 Dzire will likely receive six airbags as standard across all the variants. The current-gen Dzire only comes equipped with dual airbags as standard. We expect the new-gen Maruti Dzire to cost a bit more than the current-gen model, which is available at a starting price of Rs 6.56 lakh (ex-showroom). The sub-4-metre sedan will be a strong competitor to Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor and Honda Amaze in the Indian market.
