The Chongyuan Temple in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province was bathed in a warm glow at nightfall, creating a breathtaking scene. Originally built in 503, the temple was rebuilt in the 2000s and is home to China’s tallest indoor statue of Guanyin (the Bodhisattva of Compassion).
