Langshan, Buddhist hill near Yangtze River estuary

Langshan, or Wolf Hill, is a famous Buddhist hill near Yangtze River estuary in east China’s Nantong city. 

Even though Langshan with a height of about 100 meters is not tall, it is prominent on the Jianghai Plain or River and Sea Plain, in the Yangtze River Delta, hence it has received lots of visitors including celebrities since ancient time, such as Tang Dynasty (618-907) poet Luo Binwang and Song Dynasty (960-1279) calligrapher Mi Fu.

As one of the most famous Buddhist hills in China, Langshan features many relics, temples and ancient buildings.
