Chinese architectural designs are based on harmonious ideology, highlighting a coexistence of humans and nature. Special thought was given by ancient Chinese builders to incorporate and integrate lush greenery and landscapes with the architectural spaces. In Huishan Ancient Town, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, where architecture of Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties is well preserved, visitors can still find traces of ancient wisdom about how natural scenery and ancient buildings can complement each other.
