Hurtling down an ice slide over 500 meters long has become the most popular attraction at this year’s Harbin Ice and Snow World in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. With 24 lanes that stretch for over half a kilometer, the Super Ice Slide is a magnet for thousands of thrill-seekers who line up patiently for their turn.
To accommodate the daily queues that stretch for hundreds of meters, the park built a 300-meter-long windproof “warm house” in the waiting area, where visitors can take shelter from the freezing weather while enjoying views of the park’s scenery.
