The Guangzhou Opera House is one of the largest theaters in China. Designed by Zaha Hadid, its award-winning architecture was inspired by the concept of two rocks washed by the Pearl River. The Pearl River takes its name from the pearl-colored shells that cover its bed as it flows through Guangzhou. It took five years to complete this new landmark of Guangzhou.
