A 20-meter-long golden “Chinese dragon” appeared at the Old Summer Palace in Beijing to herald the upcoming Year of the Dragon. Inspired by the Great Wall and the iconic symbol of the dragon, the animated installation combines traditional Chinese cultural elements with state-of-the-art technology. Consisting of more than 5,000 intricate components, the giant art installation can move like a living dragon.
