Folk activities showcase Spring Festival charm

UNESCO added “Spring Festival, social practices of the Chinese people in celebration of the traditional New Year” to its Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity on December 4. A variety of celebrations were held in Langzhong Ancient Town in Langzhong City, Sichuan Province, offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience local folk culture, including traditional lion and dragon dances, Baxiang Drum performances, a lantern parade and more.
