A vibrant dragon parade was held in Liancheng County, Fujian Province, drawing crowds of onlookers to celebrate the upcoming Lantern Festival.
Dragon parades are a traditional Chinese folk custom that embodies the spirit of unity. It expresses people’s yearning for an abundant life and good fortune. Ahead of the Lantern Festival, local Hakka people carried a 160 – meter – long dragon that wound its way through the village, captivating locals and tourists alike.
