“China Snow Town,” a village that was once a forest farm in Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province, has been welcoming flocks of tourists during the Spring Festival holiday.
Blanketed in thick snow and nestled among forests and mountains, the streets and wooden houses of the small village are lit up by red lanterns and soft-colored lamps, offering a warm welcome to tourists from far and wide.
With a snow season lasting up to seven months, the village has earned its reputation as “China Snow Town,” attracting tourists and photographers to view the fairy-tale snowy landscape.
As the 2025 Asian Winter Games approach, tourism in Heilongjiang continues to soar. Attractions and resorts across the province are in full swing to showcase their best scenery and services to athletes and visitors from home and abroad.
