Ritan Park, a former royal site in Beijing with about 500 years of history, has recently launched its spring garden fair, metamorphosing the whole expanse into a dazzling floral utopia.
The park engaged the skills of accomplished artists, who harnessed over ten thousand blooms, spanning from elegant magnolias and vibrant tulips to charming plantain lilies, delicate Persian buttercups and bright winter jasmines. These were ingeniously fashioned into a captivating collection of artistic installations, exquisite floral masterpieces, and social-media-ready photo hotspots, sparking a magical rendezvous between seas of flowers and artistic creativity. Hordes of locals and tourists have been completely engrossed on the grounds, clicking away to capture the perfect shot.
As an integral segment of the Second Beijing Chaoyang Garden Festival, this spring garden fair is set to run until May 6. Ritan Park was initially constructed in 1530, serving as the venue where emperors of both the Ming and Qing dynasties conducted solemn ceremonies to venerate the sun god.
