'Black Myth: Wukong' game shines spotlight on Yuhuang Pavilion

The Chinese action role-playing game “Black Myth: Wukong” has been rapidly gaining popularity. Not only has it ignited enthusiasm among online players, but it has also brought attention to various real-life places that are featured in the game. Among these is the Yuhuang Pavilion in Yuxian County, Hebei Province.

Situated on the northern city wall of Yuxian County, the original building was destroyed in an earthquake. After being rebuilt, it was given the name “Yuhuang Pavilion.”

Historically, Yuxian County was a region where various northern ethnic groups coexisted, serving as a frontier area and a territory for ethnic minorities. Despite the ravages of war and the passage of time, Yuhuang Pavilion has undergone multiple restorations and continues to stand on the city wall, serving as a prime example of ancient Chinese architecture.
