Mahindra XUV400 Facelift is expected to launch within the next three months in India with an updated exterior and a brand new interior

Mahindra & Mahindra is planning to introduce the updated version of the XUV400 in the domestic market and it has already been caught testing. It has been less than a year since the debut of the XUV400 in India but it will receive a big update to take the fight to its rival, the best-selling passenger electric vehicle in the country, Tata Nexon EV.

The Mahindra XUV400 is more feature-rich than its ICE sibling the XUV300 but the interior theme and the finish in reminiscent of the obsolete XUV300. It must be noted that the facelifted XUV300 will arrive within the next three months and it could share the new interior with the updated XUV400, which in turn could launch around the same period.

The 2024 Mahindra XUV400 will likely get a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system in place of the seven-inch screen and it will enable wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. It is yet unknown if it will get ADAS based driver assistive and safety technologies as well as a 360-degree camera system.

However, new safety features are expected to be included. The zero-emission SUV is currently sold in two variants namely EC and EL. The former uses a 34.5 kWh battery pack with a range of 375 km while the latter is equipped with a larger 39.4 kWh battery pack with a claimed driving range of 456 km on a single charge.

The electric motor employed in both variants drives the front axle and it produces 150 hp. The SUV can be bought with discounts of up to Rs. 4 lakh as Mahindra looks to clear out the 2023 stocks before the commencement of the new calendar year. Mahindra is developing more than five new SUVs for launch in 2024.
