A dazzling lantern festival is being held at the Tang Paradise theme park in Xi’an, northwest China’s Shaanxi Province, to celebrate the upcoming Year of the Dragon. The park is a modern reconstruction of an ancient site from the Tang Dynasty (618-907), when Xi’an served as the national capital. Colorful lanterns depicting the Chinese dragon and other auspicious symbols shine against the backdrop of Tang-style buildings, attracting visitors to enjoy the beautiful views and soak up the air of opulence.
