Several pairs of silver pheasant were recently photographed in Fengtian Village, Sanming City, Fujian Province. The male birds have black and white plumage, with long and sleek tail feathers like satin, while the females have brownish-yellow feathers and are good at hiding. Known as “forest fairies,” silver pheasants are extremely selective about their habitat, and their appearance is a sign of the health and integrity of the local ecosystem.
