The 26th Harbin Ice and Snow World officially opened on Saturday in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, offering a variety of attractions in a larger-than-ever setting.
The world’s largest ice-and-snow theme park has expanded to a massive 1 million square meters, the largest scale in its 26-year history, up from 810,000 square meters last year. A total of 300,000 cubic meters of ice and snow were used to create this year’s displays.
Themed “Dream of Winter, Love among Asia,” this year’s park draws inspiration from the upcoming 2025 Harbin Asian Winter Games, which are scheduled to take place in the city from February 7 to 14 next year.
Along the central axis of the park stands the main tower, inspired by the official emblem of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). Iconic landmarks from the 42 countries and three regions that are members of the OCA have been recreated across the park’s nine main zones.
One of the park’s most popular attractions, the Super Ice Slide, now features 24 lanes. Visitors can also explore new additions such as virtual reality experiences and immersive digital art exhibits, ensuring a memorable experience for all.
