Fish lantern parades are being held at an archaeological park in Luoyang, central China’s Henan Province during the weeklong National Day holiday, welcoming visitors from around the world to enjoy the charm of traditional Chinese culture. Listed as a national intangible cultural heritage, fish lantern parades originated in Wangmantian Village – a mountain village in east China’s Anhui Province with a history of more than 600 years – to pray for prosperity and good fortune.
