Beijing Subway Line 2 has introduced a special themed train highlighting the city’s iconic Central Axis. The train is adorned with unique designs inside and out, showcasing the 15 heritage sites along the Beijing Central Axis. Passengers can learn about the history and significance of these landmarks through vibrant illustrations and informative signage. The themed train is scheduled to operate from September 7, 2024 to March 7, 2025.
The Beijing Central Axis, an ensemble of historic and cultural landmarks that runs through the heart of the Chinese capital, was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List on July 27.
