5 New Cars Launching In 2024 That Will Cost Below Rs. 10 Lakh

There are few cars that are considerably cheaper compared to other models, and these attract most of the first-time buyers

In this article, we look at some cars that will be launched in 2024 that are less than Rs 10 lakh and hence making them affordable.

1. Kia Sonet

Kia recently unveiled the Sonet facelift, and it looks more mean and modern, and now has more features as well. The prices which are not announced yet, will be released in January 2024 and it is expected to start from Rs 8 lakh while the current model starts from Rs 7.5 lakh. The mid- and top-end variants will surely cost above Rs 10 lakh and will come with features like Level 1 ADAS, sunroof, auto climate control, cooled seats, and a larger touchscreen infotainment system.

The base model is not bad either because concerning safety, it comes with 6 airbags, ESC, HAC, VSM, and rear parking sensors. Mechanically it is expected to remain the same while the only addition would be the manual gearbox for the diesel engine.

2. New Maruti Suzuki Swift

The new generation of Maruti Suzuki Swift was launched in Japan recently and is already plying on their roads. This will be the same model while some minor changes will be made to suit the Indian market and will be launched in early 2024. It is underpinned by a heavily revised HEARTECT platform and received some design changes on the exterior along with new interiors inspired by the Fronx.

In Japan, it is powered by a new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 82 bhp of power and 108 Nm of torque. There is a mild-hybrid option as well and as of now, both are mated to a CVT automatic transmission as the only option. We believe the same engine along with the mild-hybrid option will be available here in India and will be mated to a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. The CVT may be offered on the higher variants, but it is not confirmed yet.

3. New Maruti Suzuki Dzire

Maruti Suzuki is prepping not just the Swift but the new Dzire as well. The same design changes on the Swift will appear on the Dzire as well and is expected to be launched in mid-2024. Mechanically, it will receive the same 1.2-litre 3-cylinder NA petrol engine along with the 5-speed manual and the 5-speed AMT and will be getting the mild hybrid option as well. Both the Swift and the Dzire will be getting CNG options too.

4. Tata Altroz Facelift

Tata is busy updating their models and so far, they have done a brilliant job, and we expect that to continue on the other models as well. The new Altroz is expected to receive the same design language on the exterior and will come with more premium interiors. The size of the touchscreen infotainment is expected to grow to 10.25 inches, and you may also get a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, sunroof, and others.

Mechanically, it will continue to offer the 88bhp 1.2-litre NA petrol engine, 110bhp 1.2-litre turbo petrol and the 90bhp 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine. The transmission options will include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed DCT automatic.

5. Nissan Magnite Facelift

Nissan is currently planning to launch a mid-size SUV in India and before that, it plans to update its only model that is currently on sale which is the Magnite. The Magnite facelift will receive design changes on the exterior and is expected to have refreshed interiors to look more modern and premium than the outgoing model.

Mechanically, it will continue with the same 1.0-litre NA petrol and 1.0-litre turbo petrol engines with a choice of a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission. Word is that the Magnite facelift will be exported to more countries.
