Explore the updated Hyundai Bayon 2024 – know all the changes, ranging from subtle design tweaks to enhanced interiors and technology

Korean carmaker Hyundai has lifted the wrap off the 2024 Bayon facelift. For those who appreciate the art of the “barely-there” facelift, the Bayon’s refresh will be a symphony of satisfaction. Positioned below popular models like the Kona and Tucson, the Bayon combines subtle design changes with a feature-rich interior.

Visually, the changes are nuanced yet impactful. The front now features full-width connected Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), akin to the trend in newer Hyundai models. Subtle alterations to the bumpers and grille contribute to a more refined appearance, with a hint of ruggedness added by the sleek black-finished cladding all around. The rear received a similar treatment, featuring black plastic accents and reshaped reversing lights in the bumper.

However, the true transformation lies within the cabin. The Bayon already boasted a tech-savvy interior with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, but now, the infotainment screen has also been upgraded across the entire range. The 10.25-inch display is now standard, instead of being offered on the higher variants, providing a seamless and immersive user experience.

The Bayon also gets the brand’s Bluelink connected system, which stands ready with over-air updates, ensuring that your vehicle stays up-to-date with the latest technology. Safety is high on the priority list, with the SUV offering ADAS features like forward collision-avoidance assist, blind-spot collision warning, lane following assist, driver attention warning, and more.

Under the hood, Hyundai maintains its trust in the 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged engine, offering two power variants. The base option delivers a respectable 98 bhp, while the more robust version pushes the power to 118 bhp. Although specific details about pricing and the European release date are yet to be disclosed, considering Bayon’s current price of £21,570 in the UK, any increase is expected to be as subtle as the exterior changes.

While the Bayon may not be heading to Indian markets anytime soon, Hyundai continues to diversify its offerings, with plans for the three-row Alcazar SUV and a micro-SUV in the pipeline. As the automotive world advances, Hyundai remains at the forefront, seamlessly blending style and technology for an enhanced driving experience.
